Our Purpose
- Support the energy transition towards renewable energy; primarily provided by wind and solar, but also including biomass, geothermal, and hydroelectric
- Support the implementation of new and complementary technologies; including energy storage, energy efficiency, etc.
- Provide education and outreach to the public
- Support Oklahomans in developing their renewable energy resources
- Participate and advise regulatory and legislative processes in Oklahoma
- Provide analytical and technical support for Oklahoma’s legislators and national representatives

Our Board of Directors
As the leading non-profit organization in the state dedicated to education and advancement of renewable energy across Oklahoma - we are honored to have a talented and dedicated Board of Directors guiding our work and efforts! Board members serve three-year terms and represent the amazing talent our state has in renewable energy.
Claire Burch, Ph.D. - Board President
Board Term: 2023 - 2026
Claire recieved her Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma, focused on the environmental permitting and planning of renewable energy in the region. Claire currently works as a Scientist for Olsson on their Utility Environmental Sciences team, supporting due diligence efforts as well as permitting of utility-scale wind and solar for clients. She believes OREC is an incredibly valuable networking opportunity for someone just starting out in Oklahoma.
Eric Pollard - Past President
Board Term: 2025 - 2028
Eric has been a member of OREC since 2012 and enjoys getting into the technical and policy weeds on renewable topics. Eric currently works with the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments as their Air Quality and Clean Cities Coalition Coordinator.
Nina Carlson
Board Term: 2025 - 2028
Nina has been a member of OREC since 2012. In her day to day, she is a Research Practitioner and Deputy Director for Operations at OU's Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis. She joined the organization to be able to network with other energy efficiency and renewable energy professionals. She currently serves as the OREC liaison for the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Advisory Committee for Oklahoma.
Mike Storozyszyn - Board Secretary
Board Term: 2022-2025
Mike is a native Oklahoman who has been an OREC member since 2022. He got involved with OREC to advocate for renewable energy solutions and network with like-minded individuals. Currently serving as the Business Development Manager – Renewables at Topographic, Mike finds fulfillment in driving forward renewable energy projects.
Greg Adams
Board Term: 2023-2026
Greg is a wind and solar power technical consultant. He is a responsible, self-motivated multi-business owner and design engineer with a historically proven adaptable skill set. His skillset includes technical engineering, planning, executing, and balancing project requirements within time and budget restraints with utilization and verification of outside contractor performance.
Bear McAfee
Board Term: 2024-2025
Bear was born and raised in the great state of Oklahoma. He has been in the renewable space since 2022 and an active participant with OREC. Bear's work revolves around helping businesses and nonprofits leverage incentives available to them to execute renewable projects. Currently, he serves as an Energy Consultant for EightTwenty and works on commercial solar projects all over the midwest. In his free time, Bear enjoys spending time with his wife, Clytee, and 2 children, Haddon and Matthew.
Eden Roman
Board Term: 2025-2028
Eden thrives on forging connections between people, projects, and ideas. She enjoys problem-solving and innovating to synergistically uplift all impacted, from the individual to the collective/planetary level, and is excited to do this through work with OREC. She's worked at Guernsey since Jan. 2023 in the Energy & Utilities Solutions group, deploying prior experience in hospitality and administration to support utilities project logistics, and is nurturing budding interests in related business development and communications. Hobbies include dot-connecting, pattern-noticing, traveling, making art, and being outside.
OREC Managing Director - Kylah McNabb
Kylah currently serves as OREC's managing director/executive assistant, running the day-to-day operations of our organization! Kylah currently serves as Principal of Vesta Strategic Solutions, LLC, which provides consulting services for energy industry efforts. She joined OREC many years ago due to her involvement in the wind energy industry. She enjoys getting to interact with folks across the renewable energy spectrum and sharing ideas, perspectives and networking.
